Great news on the jobs front today, as annouced by Minister Joan Burton - Pharmaceutical firm Alexion is to create 200 jobs in Dublin West as part of its expansion at its Irish operations including a €75m investment in a new global supply chain facility. In addition to the company jobs, up to 200 new construction jobs are also expected to be created as a result of this expansion. This is good news for Dublin 15.

Had a great day today at the official opening of Scoil Bhride, Girls School, Blanchardstown with Minister Joan Burton. It is a fantastic school with great facilities, congratulations to the Principal Deirdre Kirwan, Board of Management and parents, it is a great achievement to finally see the new school open. But the stars of the show were the pupils who wonderful and a credit to their teachers and parents.
